Just thought I'd point this out to any of you McCartney / Wings fans that haven't seen it yet....it's 9 parts & I highly recommend it!

Here's 1 of 9:

Cool documentary, thanks Gastrok. Man what an idiot he was though. After not being allowed in Japan due to the pot charges in the UK, he then tries to smuggle pot into Japan when they finally do let him tour there. He is either an idiot (my vote) or he really was looking for a way out. But seriously, Paul is a helluva musician and I have always said he is a very under-rated bass player. Very cool video.

Yeah, I think he sort of implied that he might have unconsciously sabotaged himself by bringing the pot into Japan.

I was absolutely astounded at how he was living right after the breakup of the Beatles. I new he lived on that farm, but not how absolutely destitute their conditions were - amazing!

As far as his music is concerned, well, his melodic bass lines are what got me into bass playing in the first place...can't get enough of them.

By the way, my buddy tells me this documentary is actually 4 hours long (2 DVD set) vs. the 90 min. available on youtube. Not sure what they edited...it seems complete to me.

The whole thing is probably his whole life and/or carrer and this version justed covered the Wings. Yeah, they touched briefly on the Beatles, but that's the story I would really be interested in hearing his side of.

I did find it interesting when talking about one of Wings drummers leaving the band he refered to Pete Best and made the comment that sometimes they are a good drummer, but they just don't quite fit in with the other guys. I think in that case, they got rid of a better drummer for a much better personality, and history has proven that to be a good choice.

Yea, I would like to see the full dvd. May have to do a search and purchase it.
