hey guys,

now the time has come : some days ago I ordered my first warwick bass ever (also the first one through custom shop  8) ). It´s no extraordinary one, but I hope the sound will kick ass :D

Warwick Thumb Bolt-On 6-string Broadneck

Ovangkol body

Wenge neck

Ebony fretboard

Fretless lined

Side dots underneath the lines (not middle positioned)

MEC-3

Owner´s name plate

White HP finish

Matching head

Warwick black label strings: 045" - 175"(sharp F#-string!!!) (  )

Can´t wait to get this one 8) I was told that it would take 8 weeks....so now I´m waiting....waiting....waiting

:D I cant wait to see this, a 6-string broadneck with a high polish finish :D will it have the white finish on the fretboard???

congrats dude :D

Bad Azz bass....................just bad azz..................

(standard question)
May I be so bold to ask how much your bass costs ??

thanx
well, it wouldn´t be wise to have this finish on the fretboard, too, when you have a fretless one. It will have a black ebony fretboard with white lines. I think that´s also nice :)

Defnitely would be nice. :D. I've seen some Pedulla basses with a lacquered fingerboard, but I personally don't like that fretless sound.

the local dealer told me something about 3000€...maybe a few euros more ...it was the cheapest price I heard. I´ve completely toured through south germany to get this price

Wow,

very good price....................but you're saying that the price varies depending on the shop where you asked for the custom quote ?? How much does it vary then ??

well, it varied about 50€ - 200€, but I wasn´t suprised. in the end I got the cheapest price from the local dealer in my hometown, where I´ve bought all of my former instruments and amps...funny story

Pfffffffff,

I was worried the price would have varied from 3000 to 4500 Euro or something...............Maximum price of 3200 Euro is very acceptable......... 8)

yes, it is acceptable. I thought it would be more expensive, too, so I´m very happy with this price.
I have to add: I can´t wait to play this bass...exspecially the sharp-F#-string ... it sounds like insane  ;-). I´ve checked this string in frankfurt ... and it was awesome. 8)

The low F sharp is a friggin' good reason for me to play a 6 string bass.........

sounds great dude... i love white basses!

Prince had a white fretless thumb bass... a 5-string NT, with the black ebony board just looked awesome

for me, too  . I´ve already played a 6-string bass for 4 years, but the high C string wasn´t really deep, if you know what I mean ;-). after that I took a 5 string one....and now I go back to the roots,...and deeper, too

yeah, I know this one ;-). it´s not bad, although I don´t really like the thumb NT.
a white HP finish always looks awesome ... it´s something special in a way ... no black ... no blue ... just white ;-) ... combined with black it´s very nice.
well, there is also another reason why my first warwick bass will be white ... it is a very personal one ... the sound and also the finish of your bass show your emotions, your feelings ... like a song you´ve written. this white colour stands for one important thing in my life, which led me through a lot of dark nights: hope ... a very simple thing, but sometimes it´s not easy to hold on ... the colour remains me of this thing.

i take it you've seen my (currently damaged) Streamer Stage 1?

Thanks for sharing; it is a really, really good reason to have a CS bass for such a reason................Sometimes when you feel down, just look at your bass, and be reminded of why you've choosen it to be white.............I have a tattoo for a similar reason.............

yes, I´ve seen your streamer stage 1 ;-). when I saw your bass for the first time, I thought: hey, my bass should look like this^^ everything white (except fretboard), also neck ;-)... but after checking out some basses with high polish neck, I knew that i would need a natural neck. I don´t feel comfortable with high polish necks ... everyone needs something else ;-)

your streamer is currently damaged? :( what have you done?^^

I´m glad to see that there a some people who don´t want to have something special because everyone has it ... it is more important that there is a thinking, maybe a story behind the thing ... then it´s something special. for example: there are so many songs played in radio, where you can only see/hear one reason: making money ... but nothing to think about it, no real story behind the song ... and that´s a big problem.

sounds like a its gonna be a classy bass mate!

thanx ;-)
the frontside will be perfect, but I´m not shure about the backside of this bass. I hope that the wenge neck will be the darkest/maybe blackest natural one I´ve ever seen. then the whole bass will be in white-black ;-)
