Which Bart pickups series on Warwick Thumb Bolt-on 6 from the 90"s

Hey there,

My main bass is a warwick thumb bolt-on 6-string i bought second hand during the 90"s. I think i bought it in 96-97. It does have 2band active electronics with bartolini pickups. I'm very pleased of the sound of that little child but i'd like to change the pickups and electronics with travis bean pickups builder, having that agressive alnico pickups sound.

And the guy who's doing those pickups needs my bartolini reference. Any of you have the idea of what they could be ? They aren't in a P or J configuration more like 2 big square of ham pickups but not sure of what's is inside (never removed the pickup cover).

I don't know what kind of barto pus you got, my SSI has barto pus too, they are dualcoil pus, maybe your bartolini pus can switch single & dual, my thumb 6 has MEC spili coil pus, I order barto dualcoil pus and looking for more deep bass and bottom.

I think MEC and Bartolini pus work great on Warwick, if you try to get more power on your Thumb, you maybe can try the MEC $$ pus, they are passive and very powerful, or just change the preamp, bartolini, OBP, and ......preamp will improve your sound.

You can take out the pus and check the bottom of those pus, you should fine the model no. of your bartolini pus.
