Well I don't see much going on in this sectionand I just wonder why?? I mean with the mods.
Now I know the big thing that a Rockbass isn't a true to life Warwick but to us living on a lesser means it is. I have seen that you could save up and get a lesser grade of Warwick but I don't want that if I am going to get one it will be a custom but, for now I am sticking with my Rockbass.

I guess I posted this because it just doesn't seem that they are getting enough press or attention for such a great instrument for the price. Hell if you added a 2 piece bridge to my Fortress I don't think anyone could tell the difference unless you know what you are looking at.

Well thaks if you read this I just wanted to blow some steam I really would like to see this line get the push it really deserves!!

Good point mate.Personally,I think we all mean Warwick bass here,wheather it's a Buzzard or a Rockbass,it's a bloody good piece of wood,we all agree on that.When the Rockbass section of this forum was launched I expected it to take over the world,alotta people buy them.They must be all jamming their arses off rather than getting online. :wink:

toeturecellbass - A few years ago, I lost my job due to the collapse of the aviation industry. About a year after that, when I had sold every possible thing I could think of, it came time to part with my music collection in order to live. The last loss of that period was my Thumb 5 and I won't even tell you what I ended up getting for it . To me, it was worth everything. For the following two years, I didn't have a bass while I was getting back on my feet and the first bass I managed to get my grubby little paws on was a RB Streamer 5. So, though my situation has improved a bit since then and I've managed to pick up some really nice instruments lately, that Rockbass did me a great favour when I needed one most. Played like any 'real' Warwick, sounded better than most in it's price range, and gave me the chance to get back to something of the life that had fallen apart with what I could afford to spend. You're right. They don't get enough good PR for what they are and the value they represent to starting players and those that have been playing for years. Regards, ~M~

and i guess that's because when people (including inexperienced bass players) look for a cheap bass, they prefer to spend the same money on a bass that looks somehow "famous", already seen, instead of picking up a rockbass. that's why almost all medium-quality companies have fender-like basses in production :wink:

I have owned 2 Rockbasses since getting back into playing a Vampyre 5 and now i have a Fortress 5. When getting my Fortres fiver I noticed the Jan2 and the push /pull pot for the actives and I was astonished of these things on a bass I just payed under 500.00 dollars for .

Back before I had a family and could recklessly buy things I had a custom shop Fender and though a beautful bass and I really miss it even to this day these Rockbass feel and sound better.

I just honestly feel these things need a good hard push from the Warwick company and the music equipment industry (ie players and magazines). If Warwick wants to leave them entry level fine but get some recognition out for them.

I have an excellent ad campaign idea actually!!

Hello,

In the beginning this section was not here, but then we decided that the forum would be a good place for people with Rockbass basses to come and ask questions about their instruments or just share pictures of experiences they have had so far with their basses. The first month, we saw very little activity in this section, but it has been growing up very quickly and we're very pleased with the success of the brand and the response and reaction of our customers.

Some people have mentioned things they have had trouble with in their rockbasses and all those opinions have been passed along to our headquarters in Germany.

Also note that we make the Rockbass knowing that is probably the best option for many people looking for a great instrument and may not have a lot of money to spend at that particular time. Rockbass has a very good ratio of value/price and we intend to keep it that way, only improving the quality of product in the future.
