I had a dream. Actually, I slept four hours this afternoon. And as I said, I had a dream. I went to the Greek Warwick dealer to try out some basses. He didn't have many, so I went to a Warwick shop that was in a shopping center. It was run by a woman. She didn't have a Streamer Stage II that I wanted to try out, but she gave me an Infinity. I liked it but my second choice after the SSII was a Thumb, so I told her to look if she had anything and she gave me a 6-string Thumb NT. I plugged it in and the notes seemed to crawl out of it... like hearing the attack of the note with a half second delay. That's when I decided I am a BO guy. I discussed it a bit with her, told her that I play some fast riffs with my band so it wasn't for me, although it sounded to me like a bass through a tube amp. She agreed and I woke up.
See? No reason to visit the shops. I'm gonna try some Sei basses tomorrow.
 
I get to spend more time than most here but it comes with a price,I payed for the privelige with a mangled right leg & knee reconstruction. :cry:
On the plus up side I get to spend 5 days a week with me little boy, :D
& can pick up a bass whenever i feel like it,man i need to get back to work soon,unless warwick have aprons & ironing board covers. :P
 
Sorry to hear about your leg, Thumpy - hope it gets better soon.

I had a hip replacment last year - may not be rock'n'roll but I've got a great 8" scar on me arse!
 
cool bro,chicks dig scars,mine wasnt very rock & roll either mate.I fell off a fence trying to retrieve all the toys my kid had chucked off his mum's balcony. :o
 
hi gary hows tricks mate.I had my "fall" on december 4,it's been a long time healing i tell ya,maybe it's age,i dont bounce back like i used to. :wink: it's about 75% better now,although my knee is still pretty weak,poor thing has to hold up my fat arse. :lol: But it's been a blessing in disguise as I've been spending so much time with my son. :D
 
Well Greg actually I'm Gary (not Steve), but thats' no big deal.
At least the forum can keep you from going stir crazy while you're healing up.
I know about that old age thing (I'm 47).

Funnily enough... everyone I work with is called Steve... even the women!
