I guess that dates the bass to late 80's or so because they quit calling it late 80s when the wall fell, or something like that. Bass has passive pickups but It puts out like an active model in tone. Brass adjust-a-nut, and brass frets give the bass awesome tone. It slaps really easy. I had the bass professionally set up, and adjusted. I assume the body is Bubinga, and the fret board looks to be WENGE . Neck is straight no signs of any fet wear electronics are sound, no buzzing. The tuners on my 99 model Corvette Std 5 has West Germany on it...i'm using them on my bubinga vette now!! they're kinda a more smokey black than the current ones. If anyone wants to trade them for new ones (for a vintage warwick restoration project) i'd be happy to trade....they're black by the way
