When is a Warwick NOT a Warwick?

A not very convincing copy on eBay. Not sure if it is being passed off as an actual Warwick or as a homage!

Looks more like a copy than an homage......headstock looks spot on but the body shape is wrong (plus bridge electrics etc). My french aint the goodest but the add seems to be calling it a 90's wick. I have seen homage basses for sale (there is an aussie luthier who made a couple hand carved thumb and dolphin copies but he sells them as copies.......bloody sus if you ask me. Some poor wick-noob will fork out cash for god knows what thinking its a wick

My guess would be a Rockbass neck / pickups / bridge with a (nice looking) custom body. I think they do think they have the genuine article, though.

Too bad, its gotta nice body ;-)

First thing that would clue me, other tjan the missing W, the offset body like a jazz and if its supposed to be based off a Streamer, the upper horn is wrongo

The headstock doesn't look quite right to me - the tuners don't seem to be centred correctly on the headstock. And there's no "W"! In fact, without the W there's probably nothing on the bass that says it's a Warwick.

Nice bit of quilted maple though!

it's a copy of the style, because it doesn't look that much like a streamer. It's a nice bass though.
