What kind of preamp do I have?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a little info on an MEC 2band pre I recently fitted to my RB Corvette $$. I bought it from a friend, who got second hand himself so details are somewhat sketchy! He says he was told it was from a Streamer, but no more than that. I've gathered myself that it's an older model, but how old exactly I don't know. It's a sealed unit, in a black box with no 'open' circuit board like I've seen the new ones to be. I removed, but still have, the separate balance pot, so it was a 4 pot, 2 band with individual vol, balance, bass boost/cut and treble boost/cut. Any info would be great, and any approximation of value would be nice as I might be on the lookout for an interesting sale/trade in the future...

ps. The output jack and switches were added to the circuit by me, they didn't come with it! :-)

dont get what you are looking for. You know it is Mec 2 Band. So ...?
 
Maybe he's trying to figure out from what bass model it came.

I don't know how one could know that, but it's not a defining factor.

If it helps, they +/- @ 100hz and 2.5k. I have bought and sold them, always under $100.
 
I suppose it's more of a history lesson I was after really ie when they made the switch from the 'black boxes' to the newer models and whether there's any differences between the types...the sale/trade thing isn't important, I love the sound I'm getting from the bass now I've upgraded :-)
