Nice video Well not quality wise, but your playin was cool. Music not my cup of tea tho, but was interested with your technique. Pretty cool. I have a question tho, at one point in the song you switch to a slap technique. At the end of it, it sounded like you were playing kill notes. Is that right? and if so, it looked like you were doing it off the pop. How were you doing it. I know how to kill notes, but not sure how you did it.

its actually a pinch harmonic *lol*

in the vid, i think i nailed it good once, and the rest are half harmonics ... it sounds better with more gain and volume (i think i need to buy a sansamp again).

here's a vid of me doing nothing but those pop harmonics:

you do it by hitting the string by the edge of your palm just after you pop.

there's a better way of doing it, but this way is the easiest for me.

That is exactly what I was refering to. I thought I was hearing it, and as you said, there was one time on the video that you really nailed it. I generally use my thumb resting on the string and then use my finger or pick (depending) to sound the note. So with your thumb and other fingers for that matter so clearly not in a position to kill the note, I just couldn't figure out how you did it. Now that you say you use your palm, I think to my self... Der what else could he be using, his... (get mind out of the gutter) ...toe. Now I will have to sit down and give the palm trick (lack of a better word) a try. Thank you for explaining that to me. Who said you can't teach an old dog a new trick. Well, then again, I haven't actually learned it yet. :wink: But I plan to.

hahaha... im glad i helped randy. i actually discovered that thing by accident, and its a LOT EASIER to do on a darklord since it has longer body clearance
