What happened to the thread?

What happened to the thread I started about the good deal I got on a new Corvette? Was the dealer I bought it from found to not be on the level, or did other dealers complain about the potential for lost sales? Or something else? Unless I've overlooked something the thread has been deleted. Since I might be the only person who benefited I'm curious.

Just curious.

Thanks,

The thread was deleted to protect forum members from the (remote?) possibility of fraud.

Jester,

Thanks for the quick response. I can understand this being done. Fraud is rampant. I used to recruit fraud investigators for The Hartford. Of course that was insurance fraud. But fraud is fraud. Perhaps it will be resposted when some other people report in. If not, I've more than done my duty to get the word out. I was excited by my deal and offered to do it for the man and I did what I said. I owe him no more. My encounter with him was positive. I'll just leave it at that.

Thanks again,

Ken

I'm considering buying the flamin blonde he has I've exchanged a few emails with him if i decide to take the plunge i'll let you guys know how it goes

Hi Ken,

I PM'd to you after I deleted the thread, to explain my action.

It looked a little bit like a possible fraud (not by you), and I prefer to delete a little thread than to have another victimon the forum. In the same day I noticed a real fraud attempt on the forum too, so we get those pretty often.

Please don't be upset...

I'm not offended.

Thanks for saying that. I'm not offended. I don't want to start a religious thread because those rapidly go downhill. But this is Easter and I am a Christian. Last night I was thinking about how much more effort I was putting into sharing the good news about a deal on an bass, than I ever have about my faith. I wanted everyone to here the news and perhaps get some good deals. Well it made me think about my priorities. The "Good News" I heard years ago is of much greater value than that of a good purchase deal, yet I have not made the same effort to spread that news. Once again, this is not meant in any way to be a religious thread.

Happy Easter (however you celebrate it.)

Hi,

I didn't see that bass when I was at his house since I was only focused on looking for a Corvette. It looks pretty on the website. If you take the plunge I would be curious to know what he quoted you.

I can recommend him based upon my ONE experience but I realize that you don't know me from Adam. My wife doesn't even believe half of what I say. ;-)

You've endured a rough entrance to the forum and you're mature enough to hang in there. That's points in my book because this really is a cool place once you feel it out. Happy Easter KenMan.

Ken,

I asked about a recent sale price i seen but they sold out before i got a chance to get one. He told me he would be out for the holidays so i expect to hear back from him tomorrow
We'll see how it goes. I just happen to look here after i emailed him the other day maybe it's a sign of some sort. Either way i will be cautious and if it smells bad i wont buy from him.
His story seem legit after all someone had to buy Dana B Goods old inventory there is alot of it on ebay selling for CHEAP.

Thanks, but I've actually been here before under "WarMan" but I hadn't posted for over a year. I tied to login as WarMan but I forgot the password. I couldn't get the password because it was tied to an old work email. So I'm not exactly new but I also never made a lot of post. I wanted to get the word out quickly. I'm starting to get the Warwick sound now. I just had to dial it in. I'm also making the transition between it and my other basses pretty well. For those of you who haven't experienced one, the Mesa Boogie Walkabou Scout really sound great with it.

I'm a bargain hunter.

Haha, Ken finding you with 3 different names on the forum, from two different cities, didn't helped too much either :-)

But Gerry is right, I am glad you are still here with us!

Cheers,

Flo

Is there a way I can consolidate my user names? I don't have access to the "WarMan". You mentioned three. Do you show a "Boogie.Man" Or "BoogieMan" associated with
me? FYI, I worked in Addison and live in Plano. I currently work in Dallas.

Thanks,

Ken

I believe it can be done, Flo did something similar for me. Just ask him real nice ;)

If I didn't have to work for a living I could check them out and send detailed pictures on demand. But I do work and I don't think I could handle the stress of not being able to buy another. It's best for me to stay away. It would be like the batchelor show, where he has 25 women to choose from, only the basses would be much lower maintenance. ;-). And wouldn't talk all the time. And if they did talk it would be in German, which I wouldn't understand.

I merged EBMan andWarman with KenMan. Now you have only one user on the forum :-)

Take care,

Flo

I talked to Mark today and also called Danna B Goods about him. This guy is legit i will be ordering my flamin blonde in the next day or two and will post pics of it.

It would be good if an official source from Warwick could confirm/deny these bargains... If they were sold off from DBG then surely it is a simple task to get that info?

Luckily I'm in the UK so I'm not about to take a massive risk with my hard earned money... but then again I've got more sense than money! LOL
