What do you look like?

You guys are great. I still can't out muscle my thumb 5. Still trying to finnesse her. Thumb weight is no problem when breathing correctly.

Yeah, bummer... :(

That picture is actually taken after Germany scored 2-0 against Sweden. Look at the smile on my face! We were 80 people (75 germans and 5 Sweeds) on a roof terrase with the view out over river Main and the huge screen they built up there. We felt pretty small on that roof. Especially when the germans started singing "Ihr seid nur ein Möbellieferant..."
 
Soccer is war, Sweden played pretty well though. Who knows, the Worl Cup may take place here again in 4 years...

I though the next one was going to be somewhere in Africa. But then again, me and sports don't get along too well.

It is a common fact that Africa might not be able to fulfill FIFA's World Cup minimum requirements, such as: enough and advanced stadiums, highways, SAFETY!. Therefor there is a slight chance that the World Cup will take place in a country with enough methods of transportation, safety and big stadiums. The two leading countries that fulfill all these requirements are Germany and the USA. This has indeed been confirmed by the FIFA. I'm not making this up. The FIFA was very impressed by how flawless all the events were carried out here.

Vielleicht gibt es dann 2010 ein zweites "Sommermärchen". :wink:

Young Maverick has the gnat by the goolies,(he's right).I don't think Africa will have the infrastructure in place to host a world cup.I reckon keep it in Germany,they put on the best world cup to date.
 
yup, i spent 3 weeks in Germany and went to 5 games (including Australia vs Italy... *sob*)...

It was bloody awesome... the transport was so easy and it was really well organised... plus the Germans were really friendly!

Maybe then there'll be a second "summer-fairytail" in 2010.

We Germans referr to he World Cup 2006 as a "Sommermärchen" or "summer-fairytail" because everyone and eveything changed for the better during that time. All the Germans were helpful and friendly and not ashamed to be proud of the fact that they are Germans. There were German flags everywhere, something totaly common for America but here it is very uncommon. Now everything is back to normal: the people are as grumpy and introvertive as usual and anyone singing the national anthem is a nazi. Oh well...
 
that's a real shame

for what it's worth, we had a really great time in Germany and everyone was fantastic!
