Curious what you guys think of the custom repair plate at the top of the neck? Seems like it was well made.

Would that prevent you from buying it? Seems like a pretty good deal on Nobby #108. $1350usd

I'm a little clueless on Nobby's fair price range...as some are like 4k-5k....while others like this, are much more reasonable. #59 was/is recently available on Reverb, out of Philadelphia I think, for around $1800.

Here's one for sale out of Malaysia (no # plate)....where you can see why the one above has that custom plate.



#41 is also for sale.... at a whopping $5500! It does look in good shape though.

Also....#108 up there doesn't have the "Nr" in front of 108. And it says "Warwick-Bass".

#41 has the "Nr" in front of 41 and it says "Warwick-Guitars".

Interesting to see Hans Peters thought process in the beginning. Changing things here and there


Florin may know this....but there is a story of H.P. only having one bass in his house...and that was a Nobby Meidal.

I wonder if it's #1?

But are you after a guitar or bass? That 41 is a guitar.

It seems the same with the vintage streamers. They can be brought for 600-1000 euro but some people will have them up for 3-5k

Ohhhh hahahahhaha..... See, told ya I didn't know much about Nobby's!! I thought they were all basses. Didn't even bother to look at the strings or the 6 tuners

Depends on where. Having my dolphin shipped to me from FL cost 170 fully insured. Figure this bass is a bit lighter than the dolphin and it's not far off. Shipping prices are all over the place. I sold a bass to someone in the UK and fully insured cost me only 200, but shipping to Singapore a year later cost me 350 roughly.

All that being said, some people
Use the shopping cost to try and pad the sale price.

I like it. A bit steampunk but ♣♣♣♣ happens. It's a bass with a life, wood moves.
Imperfections make things unique or we would all the same fender!
