What do you guys collect besides bass gear (films, coins, action figures, etc)?

Oh boy, i collect (or have collected) many things: stamps, for example, and special kind of philosophy book, also whenever i like an artist or group i tend to collect everything i can find about them. oh yes and keep forgetting what i collect (or used to right now, .... i guess, wait a minute. yeah i collected, what wat that again?? oh never mind....................

I try to collect as much money as I can.

Isn't going as well as I had planned....:((

Right now I'm collecting speaker cabinets.
I have 4, need 2, have one I am keeping for sure,
and want to turn the rest into a twin of the one I am keeping.

I also collect ticket stubs from concerts I go to, and flyers/newspaper ads from shows we play.

I certainly don't collect anything, not even bass gear.

I used to collect beer bottles from around the world, but that was when I was a teenager. Now my only collection, beside bass related gear, is CDs and DVDs.

Great thread!

I collect bar band/garage band t-shirts.

Anyone got some to trade? I'll get you one of mine, you get me one of yours.

Beer bottle caps, old money, swords, dvds of shows and movies (I could have a mini rental store in my room.), and liquor bottles.

I used to build Gundam Model kits, but now I just stick on collecting (sometimes) figures to stand up on my DVD racks and dresser.

my wife says i collect junk trucks and i better clean out the yard around my shop as it's starting to look like a junk/scrap yard.but i tell her i'm helping by recylcing.

shoes and handbags, according to somebody ... :P

just like I am not collecting any bass gear, I actually use all of them ...

got 140 gb of mp3's....

but also have over 100 original cd's :)

Also got an over 100 bottles of beer collection of all the great beers I have (♣♣♣♣ beers don't make the collection XD). Quite impressive since I have hardly no access to the microbrews outside of quebec, aka the huge ass number of superb microbrews in the states and UK. At least, most of Quebec microbrews are world class level.

Dieu du Ciel Aphrodisiaque, om nom nom.l

NO FRIGGING WAY YOU IN SWEDEN KNOW ABOUT DDC!!!!! Holy balls that is amazing!!
BTW, if you're also into beer, have you tried Kaggen! Stormaktsporter? Heard it was a pretty awesome brew.

For those who don't know, DDC is a pretty beastly microbrewery in Montreal with superb offerings like: Péché Mortel (Imperial coffee Stout, rated #15 beer in the world on beeradvocate), Pionnière (one of the very first imperial black IPA), Aphrodisiaque (cacao and vanilla stout, won gold medal of Mondial de la bière in 2008), Rigor Mortis ABT (killer quadrupel belgian style), and I could go on indefinitely!

I am a beer gourmet, ofc I know about DDC! I have just tried Peche Mortel apart from Aphro, but I know they are all great. We have a lot of great beer bars in Sweden that sell DDC.

Oh and no, haven't tried that porter. Porter is my least favorite beer type, every time I try one I find myself wanting a stout instead :d

The thing with this one it's an imperial stout (10 % ABV), and not a porter as the name suggest. Didn't know DDC was sending barrels anywhere except NA. Happy to know they are popular in Europe. And you should try some baltic porters. Somes are very imperial stout-ish. Like there is one from a microbrew here called "Trois mousquetaires" and they make a fantastic baltic porter (got 2 bottles of the 2009 batch, aging them 1 and 2 years) which is very very stout-ish but still has that smoke.

P.S.: If you ever get the chance to try World Wide Stout by Dogfish Head, do it, it's a crazy good imperial stout at 18% ABV. Been lucky enough to get it on a trade with someone in the US.

My favorite stout is Goose Island's Bourbon County Stout at 13%. Nectar of the gods, that was.

heard many many great things about this one. One day maybe I'll be able to get my hands on it -_- ...

Used to be DVD's, now BD's. Surprising as it may sound I collect stuffed toy animals, usually to commemorate an event or trip. F'rinstance I got a toy sea otter in Monterey, killer whale at Sea World. Also some novelty toys, like the A&W Root Bear. Me mam used to get me a fun one every Christmas. I even have Sam the Eagle, the mascot for the L.A. Olympics, he's quite collectable.

I used to collect tattoo books, classic motorcycle books, serial killer books, dragon & elephant figurines, anything with traditional Japanese tattoo art & picture discs/coloured vinyl from bands I like.

** vinyl is what music came on before cd's & mp3's;)
