Not at the very moment but I often listen to this song lately. What a great record.

Yes, indeed. I really love her music. Her latest album "Golden Shroud" is even stranger than this one.

Death's Human remaster. I had no clue this was released, just found out yesterday. Besides sounding awesome, with the bass track finally audible, it has some additional goodies like demo versions, rehearsals, instrumentals, plus bass and drum tracks! I never realized Steve DiGiorgio was so badass.

I've been digging on Death for the past few months. Call it a rediscovery. "Perennial Quest" from the Symbolic album is a five-time-per-day listen. :)

Chuck was so far ahead of his time as a songwriter. And a truly nice guy, I might add. It's always a bummer when musicians die but I took this one a bit more personally.

This December will mark ten years since his departure. I couldn't help but wonder what kind of music he would have produced had he still been with us. Although I believe the last Death album (TSOP) and the Control Denied material started to show the first signs of staleness, I am sure he would have released at least 2 albums with enormous impact to the metal world. In any case his death was tragic at such a young age. BTW, I consider Human the best extreme metal record ever.

Those bass lines are from 1991, and I can hear a lot of things that Ryan Martinie used for Mudvayne like 10 years later.

It's bloody amazing, how he's so busy yet does not leave the pocket, not once. Very skilled and "smart" player. For example on Together as One check out the pauses in the part starting at 3:15, he's not afraid to "skip" notes in order to stay in the pocket. And mind you, all this stuff is fretless.
