listening to Tymon Kruidenier and Robin Zielhorst's (both ex-Cynic) band, Exivious, and their only album so far. Have to say that i am really impressed with the Dutch school of rock, they really have some extraordinary talents out there.
oh, and Robin's Mayones sounds like a lil' kitten, doesn't it? :)

Nice stuff. Prog rock totally works for me. My knowledge of Dutch music is strongly based on what the mighty Vonkster has been linking. And I must say 90 % of the stuff is really bad. All the Dutch bands I like, mostly on the metal side of the spectrum are not very well known in Netherlands, as far as I know (ie. The Gathering). That is weird.

But this stuff is goooood! A Warwick monster would growl the crap outta that Mayones :P

Here's some finnmetal for change :P

well, i don't want to speculate the warwick vs mayones, but i'd definitely like to hear a warwick beast in that surrounding :) i have no doubt that it wouldn't do wrong :)

listening to a great example of beautiful balkans ethno music. Miroslav Tadić (Serbian) and Vlatko Stefanovski (Macedonian) perform an acoustic version of the beautiful Macedonian song, in Zagreb (Croatia) :)

More than once I had to explain here that Anneke van Giersbergen, despite huge succes with her former band The Gathering, is hardly known in her home country (da Netherlandz)...well, that changed at least a bit since she performed in our countriez most popular daily tv show... ENJOY !
