All that talk about Marcus Miller on the other thread triggered this- my three favorite songs from Miles Davis' The Man With the Horn from 1981-

Who would've thought that a Miles Davis composition would start wth heavy overdriven power chords? In the first song-

I’m not sure what to say here, randomly this was a subject of debate just a few days ago in a circle of friends who are all 20 years older than me
 
The “Miles Returns from World’s Heaviest Cocaine Use” era is not critically acclaimed but I love heaps of it.
 


I was reading “Don’t Blame Me” from Jamie Aebersold and found this version on YouTube

It feels 1950’s to me but apparently this was shot in 1980
