I was poking around eBay when I came across this listing:

www.ebay.com/itm/WARWICK-GERMAN-PRO-SERIES-STREAMER-LX-5-STRING-FRETLESS/321797379452

Yes, there are several things wrong with the listing, but I noticed the pickup placing on this bass to look almost identical to that of a Corvette 5-string. Most noticeably, the neck pickup is much closer to the neck (as it should be) than it is on a 5-string LX. The bridge pickup may be slightly closer as well, but I'm not sure.

So, what's the word? Do the WGPS Corvette and Streamer LX have the same pickups in the same spot on a 5-string?

Do you have a picture to put it up side by side to for comparison? Nothing looks out of whack to me, but my streamers all have a giant humbucker taking up valuable space on the bass ;-)

The best way I can do it is to tell you to compare the WGPS Streamer NT (which has SSII spacing) vs the WGPS Streamer LX. If I happen upon some better photos, I'll send a link.

I saw a Korean PS Streamer LX and it had this pickup spacing too - it almost looks like the Streamer CV spacing. Wondering what the official word was there. (I'm jonesing for a CV 5banger)

I don´t know how you could came up with such conclusions only by looking at a pic. ;)

I'm a little shocked how easy that was to find. My guess those who can't see the difference are those who don't think the Thumb neck-dives.

EDIT: Now looking at it, it appears that the gap between the pickups is larger, and the bridge pickup is a little closer to the neck. I like.

To me it looks like on one everything is just shifted closer to the bridge by the same amount. It doesn't look like the space between pickups is different to me

I think your monitor may be a little squiffy! ;)

Certainly different pickup spacing there...
