hi everyone

i get a weird noise from my warwick corvette bass and i recorded it
its here

im muting my E string and slapping it and i get this noise its like the strings are touching to the pickups but they are not im sure about it and it wasnt happening before. just in case i lowered my pickups but nothing changed
it doesnt make the signal peak
i dont want to give my bass to a luthier if i can fix the problem but i have no idea what it is
do you have any ideas?

Sounds like the string hiting the pup...

Does it only happens with the E string?, it sounds like some kind of signal clipping, or something like that.

Sorry I can´t help you. Lets wait to see other opinions.

only e and b strings make that noise yea
it doesnt happen with the A string no matter how hard i slap
its weird :s

Hi Mako, does this happen on both pickups? if not it is something with the pickup (i guess something is loose under the pickup cover) if it happens on both pickups it could be something else that's gotten loose like the bridge, saddles maybe something at the back, please check all connections like screws, knobs just everything, then check again, it the problem still persists it must be something in the pickups, thats my guess.

hmm i tried pickups now one by one
yea it happens with both of them
i switched to passive mode also same result
ok i will check everything with a screwer

thanks

everything is rock solid but its still happening :(
i guess i should take her to a luthier

after a couple of days i realized that my bass pod xt is the cause of this problem :s
when i turn the output level to 10 it makes this i never realized before

glad you found it, i would not have thought about this one!
