I haven't found any soundclip of a Warwick with flatwounds strings. Does anyone have some or made the experience ?

Wonder how it sounds on a Jazzman or a Stage 1...

Youtube should help you out a bit:)

not exactly flatwound, but LaBella´s Black Nylon Tapewound. I just can't live without them...

I have tapewounds on my fretless SSII until I couldn't take it anymore and put rounds on it. My fretless Thumb, however, gets a decent Jaco sound out of it using tapes.

I tried out a RB Corvette fretless with those tape wound strings. Beautiful feel to them and the sound was great. Just wish I had the money to buy it right then and there :)

I had some Rotosound flats on my Corvette Std. fretless for a short time. I personally didn't like them at all. I got this really thud-like tone, almost percussive-ish tone, not to mention my right hand technique wasn't too great in those days. I switched back to rounds some time later.

I have to say my Fretless Corvette 'Snow White' sounds awesome with TI Jazz Flats.

Sadly, she also sounds awesome with DR Sunbeams and I'm always torn between the two!

Two basses is of course the only answer!
