Warwick Thumb NT 89 clicking noise

I'm getting a regular clicking or ticking noise when i boost the hi end on either the bass or amp.
Its more noticeable with new Genz amp and Berg cab which has a crystal clear tone / sound.
Can't say I noticed it with my older amps.
I've had bass since new
Anyone else have similar problem or is this an inherant fault.

Its not enough to overly worry about - yet. !!!

Any help or advice appreciated.

same here my friend! mine is a 89 4string but i never boost the treble or bass since the thumb sounds for me the best when the settings are flat. when you have everything flat you won't have that noise and since then i never bother anymore...

Hi Dave, and welcome home!

Have you tried it in different locations? Like home vs - rehearsals room ? It sounds to me like a network problem...

when you say clicking noise,is it a mechanical sound or an electronic sound...for example is it there when you play the bass without being plugged into anything? (acoustically,is that even a word???) had a strange click before from the strings moving in the nut after changing to a lighter string guage,took ages to figure it out..
