Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you has or has tried a Warwick streamer ( lx) 1993 modal. I'm going to buy it . One day I woke up and decided I need a great pj bass and so it was this bass or a Spector I'm buying it for 850 usd shipped from America to America( good deal ? ). Anyway hows the neck on them ? I heard the new ones have a way to chunky neck ? How is it for slapping ? ( yes I know a jaz would be better ) anyway any info at all on this bass please tell . And it's just a 1993 streamer but I said ( lx ) cause it has pj pick ups an seams the other normal streamers don't

I think LX emerged in '96. Maybe it is its predecessor Streamer BO? Still the same bass fundamentally I think...

The pre '99 Wicks tend to have slimmer wenge necks compared to 99-09 ones with a round profile and ovangkol.

It has an absolutely killer slap tone. In my opinion it beats the ♣♣♣♣ out of jazz basses (at least if its equipped with MEC pickups). I haven't played one myself so cannot really comment on how it plays but what I've heard it's very comfy to play and great to slap.

Hi Dideah, welcome to the forum!

If it is a bolt on Warwick, then yes, it is a Streamer Bolt ON, the predecessor of the LX.

It should have a nice fast neck, and a killer slap tone :-)

I have a much newer LX which has the fat ovangkol neck neck, but is otherwise pretty similar to the Bolt-on and the slap tone is wonderful. Big slinky maple body just seems to resonate so well with percussive playing. I have found the euro NT spectors a bit lifeless in comparison, and it makes a jazz sound like a thin little toy (and i LIKE jazz bass tone). you shan't be disappointed. I think i started playing much more slap once i bought my LX. matter of fact i'm gunna get off the net and go play it now....;)
