Hi,

I have an old Warwick 115ND cab (One of the ones with the big W on the grill), and a Wamp 150 head. They both sound great but I'm considering upgrading to something more powerful.

I was wondering if anyone has owned both the old models and the new WA Series, for example the WA300 head and the WA115. I noticed the new 1x15 has a very different spec and was hoping someone could provide information on the differences in sound. Unfortunately I there are no stores near me where I could try out the new amps.

Thanks,

Ste.

Hi Ste,
The 115 ND has the light neodimium speaker inside. It was not meant to be a standalone cabinet, but an extension cabinet for 411 ND.
Being a neodimium cabinet, it has less lows and some extra mids, compared to the new ones. Some people never liked ND series for that. I hope it helps.

That's great thanks. I think I like the mids :)

The other thing with ND series is that they are far lighter than the traditional PRO cabs.

That's funny because it's actually too heavy for me, I've been looking at 112's haha. Maybe I'll come across a 112ND someday ;)
