Had a bit of a disaster on my hands the other day. I got back from a night out with the family to discover that my rig had toppled over in my room. 
At the bottom of the pile was my Vette $$ and Rockbass Vampyre. next was my X-TREME in a big flight case and just behind that was the 411ND cab.
Now my amp in it's flight case comes to about 30KG and it was all resting on two necks. After much swearing I started to unplug and move things, assessing damage as I went. The cab is fine, slight scuff on the carpet, not an issue. I was panicking about the amp. Because it was still all plugged in the input jack socket had been pushed through. The nut was on the cable and the socket itself was inside some where!
As for the basses, the Rockbass Vampyre has a slight scuff on the back and the strings all snapped where they landed on my open bit box full of cables and stuff. So thats a new set of strings in the bin and my bit box cracked. But I could see no real damage to the bass amazingly cosnidering that one didn't even land flat and had my amp on the back of the neck.
My $$ was the one I worried about the most, and amazingly, only a marginal dent in the composite layer on the headstock, a vire minor dent in the back of the neck that you only notice when running your fingers over, and a little bit of Wenge chipped off the fret board, and in the grain was some plastic off my computer chair arm. I have just sanded the side of the fret board to avoid splinters and apart from the fret seeming to stick out a tiny bit, there is no real damage.
I opened up my amp and screwed the jack socket back together and that seams fine, nothing loose inside the amp. I guess I'm lucky it wasn't a valve amp.
Some where on the way my $$ hit the on button on my computer but I can't see a single scratch on that either.
I think I'm very lucky. I think it might have been a combination of a very spongy carpet, the amp being slightly over the front edge of the cab, two basses hanging on the front and I'm going to blame the cat fro jumping on top. The cat which looks incredibly content on my bed.
I am yet to see if my Rockbass works fine, but the $$ still feels fine and sounds fine and the amp still works amazingly.
So thank you Warwick for making gear which lives up the the reputation of German build quality. I don't know what I would have done if I found the basses broken. You can borrow an amp but the bass is yours.
I shall be more careful with setting up the amp and keep the cat out when I'm not in the room, just incase.
