Looking for opinions on this bass? Anyone have much experience with them?

Also what would a decent price be for a used one?

There's one being sold a couple of hours drive from me and I'm pondering going to check it out, but figured I'd get some opinions on here also. I already have a Warwick Thumb BO and a Corvette $$. Is the Dolphin SN a much different animal compared to those two??

I think you should try it first, see how you like it, and then decide for yourself if the asking price is high or not, or if you need it at all :-)

It is worth driving down there and checking it out.
Most people owning one are pretty much hooked to it.
 
Our pal Augie is in love with his LOLphin SN... where is that bass-tird when we need his wisdom?

I HAVE RETURNED FROM THE WILDERNESS!...literally, i was out in some woodland for work.

I LOVE my 4 banger lolphin, but it is a seriously different beast to any others i have. The shape makes it about as comfy a bass as i can imagine, and the best balancing/feeling bass i have. The TJ sounds big, but its right on the bridge so it is very mid-rich. Actually the whole bass is very mid-focussed, afzelia, chambers, waaaaay back bridge pup. You can dial in lows with the EQ, but the highs arent as present as they are on my LX and Jazzman. It has a really differnt tonal range to any other bass i have played. cuts through wonderfully, love it for my FNM band, but for a more stoner/meatl i have gone my jazzman, has more clank and boom to it.

I love mine, and reccoemnd it to anyone, but it is different. to everyhting. I bought mine sight unseen (thanks Mick!) but i really dug the look, feel and distinctive sound of it. plus i love set necks. If its a good deal go for it, you can always sell it if you dont like it, but if you can play it i would.
