Does this combo (in 4 ohm) get the full 250w on it's own? Would this mean the CCL ND 8 needs an extension speaker to get the full 250w?
Any help appreciated,

Hello Stan,

The CCL ND 4 combo is capable of pushing the speaker to the 250W all in itself. On the other hand the CCL ND 8, has an 8ohms speakers, therefore proving more resistence for the amp, this means that you lose around 30% of the power from the output of the amp to the speaker itself. This is the reason why the CCL ND 8 has an external speaker output, in case you decide you want to plugin another 8ohms speaker (in parallel) and reduce the impedance to 4ohms.
 
What sort of gigs was the CCL ND 4 designed for? I want to know where it would be best used.

Almost every case. You can use it on big gigs if you want and just put a good mic in front of it. So this is really up to you. It depends also on what you think you need on stage.
 
What wattage is the sweet 25.1 on it's own? And would it need an extension cabinet to get the full 250w?

The Sweet 25.1 having two speakers inside makes it run at 4ohms, therefore letting you use full range of the 250 Watts RMS of power.
