Warmer Corvette $$ pickups?

These pickups tend to have a very hot signal with a sharp attack, I believe it's due to the larger poles and them being directly below the strings.

I'm considering buying a Corvette $$ but I'd want to swap pickups and electronics so the tone is warmer, and has a rounder attack, like a P Bass with flats.

Anyone know of any model pickups that will fit that will do this for me?

According to https://www.bestbassgear.com there are a few different Bartolini's that would fit a $$:

MMC - deep tone, smooth humbucker - strong lows and low mids.

MMK - bright tone, smooth humbucker - treble enhanced.

MMX - brightest, but not harsh, humbucker .

MME - deep tone, smooth tri coil humbucker - strong lows and low mids.

MM4CBC (Classic Bass) - "Classic Bass" CB series bass pickups feature an extended and more resonant frequency range. They have far more "air" and definition at the top without sacrificing lows and low mids. They are cast in epoxy to remove unwanted feedback and microphonics. CNC machined blades on all of the 4 string bass pickups listed below allow them to cover string widths from 50mm to 59mm on medium curvature fingerboards with excellent string balance.

MM42CBJD3 - Quad coils - powerful lows and low mids, enhanced treble. Humcancelling when splitting coils.

The MMC, MMX, MM42CBJD3, MM4CBC are 4 Conductor Pickups. The MME (tri-coil) is a 6 conductor pickup.

I'm most intrigues by the MM42CBJD3 as I'd prefer to have humcancelling inline split coils when I put it into "single coil" mode.

I thought about Barts too. I remember trying a Corvette $$ with Barts (some Special Edition) along with a normal $$ with MECs and the first one sounded kinda dark compared to the normal $$.

I really like my $$ pickups, but I also don't keep the newest of strings on my vette. Depending on your amp you might be happy just using a 15 db pad if it has one available(or a channel for active basses). I'd get the $$ because they are great basses(imho) and play around with the settings on the amp and the bass (split/series/parallel, etc) before changing it up. BTW I feel like my $$ with Thomastik jazz bass strings(kinda dead) is the warmest sounding bass guitar I have.

Sounds good, I was looking at putting TI Flats on it. Thanks guys. I guess I can always swap out the pickups later if I still feel they're needed.

I'm still looking at the quad coil Bart, but Delano also makes a great jazz pickup that cops the tone of a P pickup (JC 4 HE/M2). Their MC 4 HE/M2 is another quad coil and I have a feeling the MC 4 HE/M2 is just two of the JC's side by side - I sent an email to Delano earlier to confirm.

Also, consider the fact that those Warwick pickups use ceramic magnets - perhaps an alnico replacement will help.

Do NOT use Nordstrands. Far, FAR too much magnetic pull, my bass became unusable.
