I always try to be in the pocket with the kick drum, and I often add some ghost notes... I can't help it, I "grew up" bass-wise with Stuart Zender's basslines, I practised them a lot, and ghost notes are a big part of my playing... I always add some...
 
your music sounds very wide... Lots of reverb, delays, roomy drums...

Now, Zender is great on chopping the stuff down, but for this style you need to feel more relaxed. I feel you a little tensed reaching for the pocket. You should try to mute the bass, and listen the songs naked... Go outside with ipod on ears and just walk & listen... let the mind fill the gaps... let the soul make the connections. Remember that feeling!!!! Remember that feeling!!!

When you put your hands on the bass, all the muscular reflexes are on duty. And this tends to guide your style. Sometimes is good, but sometimes you need to let the mind & soul connect to the music.

The "pocket" is great, but not on every style. If you grew up listening to Zender that's great, but now you should try to change the road... see where it takes you!

Good luck friend! And by the way, the Streamer Stage I is such a wonderful bass, but so underrated i think...
 
And yes, Picture has a great feeling.. I would have produced it a little different maybe, but I just love the mood±

Its my hobby to listen music and those songs are nice and I love the titles, very good in lyrics and I like it. Someday your songs will be popular and you guys will be famous of your composition. Keep up the good works!
 
LOTS of atmosphere! The bass sounds very good in the mix, nice timing and overall you have a very modest way to fill your role.
