hey i am a newbie on this forum, and i have a problem with my corvette standard 02. It is an active/passive controll, but i think the pot has stopped working properly. Where there should be no volume when turned, there is volume, and when you turn it about half way it suddenly cuts off?! so i play with the volume control at zero, but it has the highest ammount of volume!! i was just wondering if it was the pot that has gone wrong, and if so could anyone tell me where to get a new one/ teh model of it. Cheers, Nick

All you need to do may be to apply De-oxidization spray to the pot. You can get it at Radioshack or hardware/electrical supply shop for around $5.

It happened me with my first Warwick, the pot turned over the end. Maybe that happened to you too. Just try to shut the volume, then force it a little back see what happens :-)

And welcome to the forum mate :-)

cheers guys, will try all of those things, will let you know if it works. Nick

Got the same problem a while ago - with me it was the cable.
Really!

Changed it and everything turned out to be okay again.

Here's an idea of where to check:

Try to tightening the knob that moves the pot. Sometimes these knobs loosen a little and this can cause for this to happen. All you need is a precision screwdriver and to tighten it and you're set.
