Hello W-folks, is there anyone who knows where to find the black plastic rings that hold in place the tuning keys of older Thumbs?
Oh, just asked to Warwick some years ago but they do not have them anymore...gulp! :(
I believe I have little chances but...maybe a miracle? :d

slotter24 on this forum hade made some out of brass and is selling them as well:)

Oh, just missed the add on the catalogue (2009)...it was 2007 when I sent my request to Warwick Service Dept.
And, yeah, quite expensive those bushing!
Strange, my bushing are made of plastic, if it were brass they wouldn't crack...

I think to offer them as brass replacements was easier (can be produced anywhere). I have slotter's brass version
on my thumb 5. If you want the original plastic under all circumstances I can sell you mine for the price of the original
brass replacements;-) (which I would buy)

just a side not slotters are pure brass (not black)
with gold hardware it looks great for black hardware you have to see it before to decide

Hi Rudi, I was sure I PMd you some days ago...maybe the sun has cooked my brain :-)
As Schlobodan punctuated yours are made of brass and fine for a gold harware bass but mine comes with black one and it will not look so good, sadly...

I need (4) bushings for my 1986 JD thumb. Do you still make these? I am in Virginia, United States. Thanks, Randy.
 
These bushings were forged by elves under the moonlight during summer solstice. 20 euro's is very cheap imho.
But seriously folks, how many times in your life will you buy these things? Really...
 
At these prices I would make them myself , I m a Metal Machinist . But I wont .
