Very excited about the Alien Deluxe now coming in a 6 string

Heard from notreble.com that the Alien Deluxe is going to come in a 6 string version. Will have to squirrel some money away each month to get one. Not owning one just isn't an option!

Who here is also excited by the prospect of owning an Alien Deluxe 6?
 
No. I never liked any acoustic bass. They're big and clumsy.
 
I recon i would love a 6-banger, and separately an Alien aocustic to replace the el-craparoonie acoustic i have, but the thought of a six string acoustic is a bit daunting. big board to navigate, big body to work around. to hard for my tastes. Let us know how oyu find it when you get one. the idea is very interesting, particualrly the ability to do lots of acoustic chord stuff. become the rythm guitar killer!
 
I´m not a 6-string player, so I´m not that excited, but I think it is a great move from Warwick to expand their acoustic line with 6 stringers. More choice for the people.
 
I played the Alien Deluxe at the NAMM show this year....it is a GREAT bass! Its quite comfortable, and sounds incredible! Of all the basses at the show, the Alien Deluxe was VERY popular!
 
OK, so Warwick have a 6 string acoustic now, but only do their acoustic strings in sets of 4? Would you string this with normal electric bass strings?
 
I was pretty excited when I saw all of the Aliens (the RBs and the "official") being offered in a 6 string. I have one of the 6 string fretlesses on order, which hopefully will be coming soon.
 
I had the privilege of seeing these awesome basses during a tour of the Warwick factory earlier this year.

Will do. I think when I ordered it, Chris quoted around August so sometime this summer I'll have pictures aplenty of it.

As well as the Artist Series Jack Bruce Survivor I ordered too. Mwahahahahahaaha!
 
These are the 2 basses I get the most questions about lately...and both are due in mid-July! Its going to be great summer for Warwick fans...be sure to keep us posted!

Trust me, gents. I plan on plenty of pics and I'm going to do a couple of video demos (a la Andy Irvine) to help show you guys everything these two basses can do.

It's a great DAY anytime one of us can pick up a Warwick and coax some lovely tones out of it!
 
Alright gents, I got the email letting me know my Alien was at the NY Custom Shop yesterday. Chris said he was going to hopefully get it out today, so I should have it by mid-late next week. Time to start getting excited...
