at the end of last week i received a bartolini jazz pickup (to match the bart precision i have already) and a glockenklang 2-band through the post, but had to wait until last night to wire everything up.
and...wow! what a difference !!
the preamp is amazing...doesn't seem to colour the bass as much as the mec one, and the added touch of having a passive tone control when the active is bypassed is such a boon !
the glockenklang is a bit of a fiddly wiring job, but fairly straightforward if you take your time and are careful.
the fortress sound now sounds as good as it plays - i spent a solid 3 hours playing it last night.
