Hi all!! i doubt any of you care, and i hope none of you are "offended" but i will have another bass family other than warwick,
(as my main bass) I am going to alembic. i have a custom Alembic Stanley Clarke bass that will be made out of the same woods as stanley, but as it is a custom, it will take a while for it to be made, (no photos yet) but i will have photos up as soon as i can get some. i just got the quote into a dealer, and will go on to alembic!!! not sure if it is smart to share this with all you warwick fans, (dont rip on me), but i STILL LOVE MY THUMB!!!:)

Just dont tell the Alembic forum that you love your Thumb. They can be pretty brutal when it comes to Warwick.Mainly over John Entwhisle.
I had an Alembic once.It was a great bass,but really heavy,so I sold it & ironically,kept the Thumb.
Make sure ya post some pics when she's done.

ill stay on it!! yeah, they dont like warwicks in the Alembic club!! (it will stay a secret love over there)!!!

I love Alembics.

It never ceases to amaze me how some musicians can get so "loyal" about one brand that will hate on any/everyone that likes, or god forbid, dare play somethings else.

As long as you put a nice set of Rotosound strings on it, it will be all good. Anything else, would be like casting pearls before swine .... hahaha just kidding.

hehehe Hey I plagerize from everyone. Might as well steal from the best selling book of all time.... or second best selling book if your a fan of Douglas Adams.

yea me too. And we all know that any good bass player knows where his towel is!

Hey, it's cool to lobe other basses than Warwick.

I own and love my Rickenbacker to death. It is one of my favorite basses, next to my Fretless Thumb and Corvette $$.

I'd love to own a Wal. I just love the fat tone Geddy Lee had with it and what all of the other 80s bass players got from it, as well.

Here is a sneek preview of it... it is not my bass, but it is EXACTLY what it will look like. (according to alembic and me).

Absolute awesumness...8:

Tho I alwayz say that da Infinette will be my forevah main axe, I can imagine that I'd make an exception for a beauty like this...

iknow what its like to have two bass familes.i like ebmm's i have a sting ray a sterling and a sub and i like them a lot i don't hype them on this forum cause it's a warwick site and if i wanted to talk about my ebmm i would go to the ebmm forum.one of the things i have said in the past is that warwick is super cool and don't blast you here if you talk about something other them a wick.i have been playing my stingray a lot lately,i think it's because the neck is close to a p bass and thats what i played for a long time and the warwick neck feels a little off to me at the moment.
