Tuners, serious problem

the bass has a satin finish - so do as Flo suggests:-)

Warwick calls this finish coloured oil finish for reasons that elude me.
This causes a lot of peoaple to wax the laquer:-) which is not dramatic but it could harm the laquer.

In general it is problematic to produce a colored oil finish as the color might come of and the possibility of uneven coloring is very high as the oil resolves the stain. For this reason I think there is no such thing as a colored oil finish on wicks.
Why calling it so?

Thanks very much for the info. I LOVE the Masterman Fortress, she is awesome! As for the FNA, I was asking about the Corvette Taranis. Maybe a little confusion there, but no worries. Thanks again for all the help!
 
Dunno why they dont just call it coloured satin....they do clear satin finishes, so why not call it coloured or tinted satin?
