Trouble with a Pro Tube IX after shipping

Hello! I've got this nice amplifier (used)... it's in pretty good conditions but... it won't turn on.
I've removed the "roof" of the chassis and immediately noticed the preamp tubes weren't plugged in and that a few fuses were blown: 2 of the 8A on what I guess is the crossover/power-amp section (between the toroidal and the fan-cooled aluminium stuff) and the 2.5A on the front. The protection near the 2.5A blow got very hot too. I've put the tubes back in place, replaced the fuses but the 2.5A blows again and I stopped trying.
I contacted a local tech to have it checked but I'd like to know what you guys think... I'm going to file a claim with the carrier but they want me to keep everything stuck (amp and packing material) for an inspection. This takes time... and if I could know for sure that it's an easy/cheap fix I would bring it to the tech in this week. Any advice? :|

Hi buddy,

Unfortunately,mother than checking the tubes and fuses, there is nothing much you can do... Be careful, working inside an amp is dangerous too...

Yes, I know. I took it to a local tech who also repairs tube amps. Luckily a guy found the schematics on the Warwick site (I didn't) so now the tech has it all... I can only wait and keep fingers crossed.

Ok, just got a call from the tech... he has to replace all the mos-fet on the power stage, replace the two tubes on the preamp (they're both microphonic) and there's also some issue with the preamp itself. He's asking €300 to do the job and the amp would be ready to rock in a week (he needs two whole days to fix it). I still don't know if the carrier is going to offer a partial refund and "commercially" speaking don't think this amp is worth much more than that, so I don't know what to do.
