why did he shot the kids? There must be a reason...

They say they are investigating. It's always cops shooting in the air or to the ground to warn/frighten but bullets are always found in people's heads and hearts. It's always an unfortunate ricochet.
But they saw them this time so nobody will buy their story, they were stupid enough to do it in front of quite a few people.
There was some verbal conflict between a group of kids in Athens' boheme neighbourhood Exarchia after midnight. I don't know the details but whatever stupid thing some 15 yo kid tells you you don't go park your patrol vehicle, return walking with your partner and shoot them in the heart in cold blood, then turn your back and walk away like you came. Let me tell you if there were guns allowed in traffic in this country, which there aren't and this is fortunate, there would be dead cops tonight. But then again they wouldn't play macho to kids if they weren't the only ones carrying guns. It's sick.

we saw someone on the ground and friends of his pulling him backwards to protect him from peraps more shots.
Anyway, this happens and the cops simply stand for a moment, and walk away. They turn around and leave. Walking...
-I saw the extension of his hands, I saw him pointing, aiming. Not his body, it was his arms that were extended. I was looking from behind him. And he was aiming. He was aiming towards that group.
-They exchanged swearing insults in a tense manner etc. Suddenly, without anything else happenning, the patrol car comes back, and after a while the policemen return. They stand opposite the kids, and shots were heard. And one of the kids goes down.
-Were they three shots?
-Three shots because he did not hit him with the first shot. This man wanted to kill. Simple as that.

-We hear the shots, when the second was heard we heard the kid and he fell down. The cops turned their back as if nothing happened and started walking away. We opened his shirt, there was blood. Someone tried to resuscitate but with no luck. The ambulance came too late.

-I saw the patrol car in the crossroad, it left, after a minute they both came back walking. They both took out guns and they shot the kid. Without reason.
-Did you see them aim?
-Yes they were aiming.
-Did they fire in the air?
-No, not in the air. They shot at the kids that were there.

wow. just, wow. effing heartless, soulless, sac-less actions by the cops. so friggin sad. stay safe jester... things are spiraling towards further chaos.
That's crazy!
I can't even imagine how this is, seing I've only seen a real gun three or four times. See, cops in norway don't have guns on them. That provides a lot of safety. (Yes they have guns in their cars so they can use them when it's needed but they don't carry guns at their belts)

Man, WHATEVER has happened you don't pull the trigger on a 15 year old kid after clearly having more than enough time to think. This is called murder in cold blood. Not a single cop has supported what the guy did and Greece is in flames.

What's those riots about really? There were some going on, before this kid was shot - weren't they? Is there any political reason? I haven't read a lot about it in our news.
And what really really annoys me:
Most of those riots are using the dead of a child as excuse for what they are doing now, i.e. destroying a whole city. In my eyes: They are not much better than the actual murderer.

kinds of shit done to people. They may even try this now with the investigation and
ballistics study especially when things cool down a bit. I am sure they will try.
And the government certainly has a responsibility in this murder.
So what you see is too many young people out of control, not just in Athens but all
across Greece. They are not only the kind of people that usually cause trouble
every chance they get (leftist-anarchist) but an increasing number of "normal" young
people that are really fed up with the current situation. And this murder was an
outrage. It was a severe insult. Young people feel it could have easily been anyone
of them in that kid's place. Even school kids are attacking police departments.
Obviously a lot of what is happening is disproportionate violence or even plain looting
of shops (despite many riot episodes here the latter is a new phenomenon, showing the
elements of financial distress). This is the third day today and we will have more.
There was a cop injured earlier, I sincerely wish we do not have any more deaths here.
