Ok so my X-TREME didn't output anything again so I took it out of the case, took the top off and said Wow. That's some technical stuff in there. I haven't got a clue. I was gonna look and see if things were loose but what I can see all seems secure.

That transformer is huge. Although there's some space in there for a few rodents, I can see why it weighs so much.

A question this has raised however, if I play in another country, do I swap the fuses at the power input, and flick the big red switch from 230 to 115?

This all intrigues me and none of it is in the manual.
 
Just discovered it's actually the speakon input on my cab that's causing the issues. It cuts out in the left, but not the right. It's a simple thing to get around for the moment but could cause issues when I buy a second cab.

Plus a european adapter and that's all there is to it.

Better remember my screw drivers, and alan keys when I finally make it to touring abroad.
 
Be careful, chose a good key, and unscrew it carrefully. The alen Nut on the front is pretty fragile...
 
To be honest I thought all the screws holding it together were pretty flimsy, but then I don't suppose you can fit any decent sized screws in anyway.

After ruining screw holes in wood and shearing the head off a screw in my wah pedal I've learnt not to force screws :oops:

nahh its not...just use your inititive :wink: plug the extreme into the second cab that has two working inputs, then link to the one working input on your current cab :D
 
Yeah I'd figured that, right after posting. I felt like such an inbred when I realised.
 
or simply replace the faulty speakon socket :roll:
