A friend of mine asked me to run sound for them at a red cross benifit last night. total black tie crowd. they had a wine auction and I don't think anything sold for less then $3000. 3 hour total was over 100K. the funny thing was they all got smashed, as soon as they got there wine they popped the cork.
Question,,,, why is it that when you go to a club and see mega T&A hanging out everywhere they are considered shall we say lose. but when you see it at a black tie event they're considered debutante's?????
I saw more skin last night at that event then at any wild club around here!!!

Its the old double standard. I know exactly what you mean. A X-Girlfriend of mine, her mother worked at the local Radio Station and the owner used to always be on her because, as he would say, she hangs out at the bar all the time like a lush getting drunk and that made the radio station look bad. Mean while the owner would go to the Country Club at the Golf Course and get so sh*t-faced drunk that many times he had to be driven home. But in his way of thinking, that was totally different. She was a drunk (Btw she went to the bar 2 or 3 nights a week) He was a business man "networking" and making important business contacts. (He went to the country club at least 5 nights a week).

Since Paris Hilton is considered a debutaunt (sp?) the debutant must just be the way rich people say "HO".

It`s all a matter of context.

Some find 50 Cent obnoxious, and swear to classic Tom Jones, Cornelis Vreeswijk or [insert buttersinger], when fact is; they sing about the same issues: money, booze and pu**y.

Btw, why would anyone call a "HO" for a debutant? It can`t possibly be the first time for anything, hehehe.

Obviously getting ablosultely Sh*t faced on expensive alcohol is more classier than getting trollied on white cider:roll:

Nah there are always double standards, and its something you can't escape from.

Different social circles all get as drunk as each other but it depends on thier behavior, if a group is particularly vocal, violent or public then it get a bad name. If its all within the group, and private then no bad stigma is attached.
