To easily scratched

my corvette $$ nirvana black gets skrached so easily its ridiculous is this normal for it i mean i was playing with a pick the other day and it scratched in like two seconds so i stopped playing with it and the bottom top edge of the bass hax a tone of nicks in it too, don't even get me started on the back

Could I ask where you're from? Is English your native language?

I'm not trying to be funny here. If English is your second language, that's fine - I commend you for the level that you have....but if you're a native English speaker, then you really should try a bit harder to use some punctuation, correct spelling and grammar.

Your posts are quite difficult to comprehend.

It's really easy to put a little effort into your posts and makes them much easier to read and comprehend (It'll probably get you much better and more helpful resonses too! ).

Well the oil finish on the Warwicks can tend to be easily scratched , yes, and the scratches do show up a lot more easily on a black bass...

(Oh, and thanks for the commas, they do change everthing!)

Its just one of those things. I found oil finish and high polish tend to be magnets for dings and scratches, compared to a natural finish one.

Since it's black, it would be easy enuf to touch up.
Depending upon the level of subtlety you require,
you can use a Sharpie or some wood dye.

OTOH, the back is a mess ? Well, the edges get a
few dings in normal handling. And you play with a
pick ? OK, it lacks a pickguard so we know what
happens there. But the back ? The back of a bass
isn't much subject to accidental knocks. We know
what gets to the back, and since that isn't really
accidental, I find it hard to reconcile it with your
complaint about the vulnerability of the finish. I
wind up reading between the lines of your post,
something like this:

"I want my bass to look really mojo'd, so I opted
for a thin finish, in black cuz it will contrast with
the bare wood as the finish gets chewed up, and
to convince myself I'm not doing this on purpose,
I guess I'll complain to my Wick brothers about it."

Y'know ... Fender charges about $1000 surcharge
for a very bogus looking factory pre-mojo'd bass.
Yours is no-extra-charge, and at least it's real. A
bargain at twice the price !!!

Wecome to the ownership of anything black! It's the unfortunate side effect of the badass look of black paint.

My black car shows any speck of dirt, door ding, or bird poop that gets near it, let alone onto the paint. When you are meticulous about it, it looks awesome. When you are not, it looks gross. It's just something you are going to have to decide: be a psycho about it and make sure it looks brand-spanking-new at all times, or keep up with it enough to where it looks "seasoned" and not "disheveled".

If the back is dinged all up...check your belt buckle. when I play, I wrap a cloth around my buckle or wear pants that don't need a belt...

and as stated...black anything shows everything off-cosmetic...

but black is freaking cool, so... 8)
