Just a bit of bass-related news for anyone who's interested:
My current band (now my ex-band) has split! In truth, we had played the same songs too many times to the same people... and as we couldn't agree on what new songs to play or any strategy to go further afield, we gave up! My view is that there is no such thing as the perfect band, just the right band at the right time, and our time has passed!
I'm totally gigged out at the moment, so I've been in touch with a guy I used to be in a band with, and we're thinking of doing some original stuff... his wife writes and sings this stuff and she has a really great voice... it's all a bit folkie-rock (which is where I came from about erm... 35 years ago) so sounds good to me!
Not sure if we're heading towards recording or gigging, or a bit of both; but I'm expecting to explore my more sensitive twiddly side (and rediscovering the "mwaahhh!") rather than hammering out rock covers to drunks (nothing wrong with that... just done a bit too much of it lately, and I'm not really a rock animal)
Hopefully may even have some sounds to share in the future!
The problem is... I think I may need a Thumb NT!
