As requested by a few of you, I did some recording today so thought I'd post a couple of tracks.

Recording details:
Thunderfunk into Trace Elliot 4x10 1048H miced with AKG D112
DI from back of the TF

Thumb NT 5 (Limiter turned off)

Infinity NT 5 (limiter used lightly on Thunderfunk)

I love the sound of this amp and the DI output is incredible

Careful as they haven't been compressed yet so the bass may take it's toll on small speakers!!!!

It sounds great! How do you compare it with the old trusty TE?

The clarity and punch is a different league to the TE. For recording it's amazing. Practicing tomorrow I'll keep you updated on how it copes with a full on practice

after hearing you ... im actually nervous *lol* i cant do what you do man .... hats off to you!

-*-

UPS sent me mail and said my tax is freaking $600!!!!

my bass is here... but still, the tax is just crazy... and i will be calling them tomorrow.

$600????? :( There must be some mistake with that.

Don't be nervous, there's nothing competitive about music, and I bet there's plenty you play that I would have trouble with :)

I used the TF at our band practice and the entire band were stunned with how good it sounded. I can't believe how much better than the Trace it sounds - My Trace head would have been very expensive and top end back in 1989. If you ever get a chance to try one of these Thunderfunk heads, you will not be disappointed.

600???? OMG  Well, I'd hate to see it get held up now. I'm don't know how much was left over from the shipping and/or how much you have, but I'm willing to donate another $20 or so, to get it the rest of the way home.

Hey Neil.

Really good to see that this worked out for you... now about cabs!

It sounded amazing through the Trace.

I now officially have my favourite bass sound
