That's kinda hard, seeing that the 2003 ltd thumb is the only thumb I've seen here in Trondheim. That one along with the Corvette I bought they are the only Warwicks I ever met in person.
But atleast my guitar centre has the same amp as me so I can really hear how it sounds and will sound.

The guy that sold me my 'Vette is awesome. But I haven't asked him about getting one just so I can try it. Asked him today about buying Wicks throu him. He said the only reason they don't have many Wicks is because "People don't approve of quality anymore, they just want it to say Fender". (Meaning, not that Fenders don't have quality, but people come in, pick a jazzbass with a decent finish and take it home, because someone told them they sound good).
So currently they have 4 'Vettes, a Thumb 2003 ltd ed and a 5 string rockbass. But he was more then happy to get anything for me, with a good pricetag
IMHO, it may be also worth considering the neck profile issues, eventually.
There is a custom shop option called 'flat C-shaped neck', which is slimmer and lighter than the default 'U-shaped neck'.
My TBO has this flat neck, and I find it faster and easier to play than the standard U-shaped one, but the feel may also depend on your styles and playing techniques. Perhaps, if you have a chance, you may try both versions.
