Any idea how would wenge body wood affect the tone ?
I am not going to place an order but this may be interesting.

Maby such bass is made in CS but I am not aware of it ? Any pictures you may know ?

Edit: I mean how would sound new wenge neck on CS wenge body + I seek for picture of wenge body/ neck bass..
 
I guess Ibanez has a wenge top over mahogony top end model , must have wenge bubinga neck also , it would be a great idea I m sure .
 
But sound wise I would ask the Warwick guys for more infos about it .
 
there is a 6 string nt version somewhere in the netherlands maybe chris90 can tell you more about it and i remember a fiver in a marketplace as well:)
can't say anything about them but they're looking hot!

My god.. that full wengé NT6 Thumb... that was some beast really. In fact, I've just emailed the guy to check if it's still for sale.
Early 90's, custom built obviously, probably weighs a ton! Bartolini's.. am very interested in this bass. A bit off-topic maybe, what would be a reasonable value?

About the tone, I have no idea.. I can only dream of it ;')

I hope you will find that full wengé NT6 Thumb.
If you manage to find it or at least get photos of that bass please post it, give as a clue how such bass look like.
We are all very interested.
 
I didn't find the thumb itself but I found the seller! It's kinda too bad that he knows he got a gem, so he's asking more then 2000 euro's for it ;). Although I'm trying to get some pictures from him !
 
An all-wenge Thumb NT 6? Man, that would be the only bass that you'd have to DE-wax every few months.
 
More than 2.000 EUR ? Man, that is a lot of money for used bass.

How much could it weight ? My Thumb BO BN 6 weights a ton.
Do you think it would be like 100-200 gr more or what ?

I hope you will get those pictures.

After all hasty search; I like mine all ovangkol BO better.
But sure this helped me a lot.

Chris90, only minority of us (like me) like better BO's and most of us (like you and a lot of others) like better Thumb's so I still believe that you should consider buying this wenge beast, if you negotiate the price. Since you were very polite, I wanted just to say that I may like better ovangkol and you and many others probably don't :) So, go for it.

Warwick probably would not have had to switch to Ovangkol necks if they never built that bass.

Is it really 100% wenge? Even the neck laminations?
 
Well true Fitz , they almost took all the wenge as you wrote in there ! lol , But it s a good idea for a CS
