Thumb 6 N/t with BASSLINES

Hey all.. Just wondering if anyone can give me some input on the sound and tone of bassline pickups in a six string neck thru thumb..I'm contemplating buying this particular bass.. It's a 95 model in pretty much pristine condition. I'm told these pickups were pretty much standard for that year..

I have a thumb bolt on 4 at the moment with the MEC's and was wondering how different the basslines would make the sound...

Also is around $2200 US a reasonable amount to pay for a bass like this..???

I got Thumb NT 6 with MEC soapbar recently for $2550, it is all MEC which my first MEC 3 band and MEC soapbar, I used had a Thumb BO 6 with Bassline soapbar and MEC 2 band pre, compare to the NT 6, they are very like.....it is easy to feel the MEC J setup are better than EMG, SD, Bartolini J setup but not much different between SD soapbar and MEC soapbar, now I am looking for dual coil pickup for replacement....
