Thumb 5 NT Fretboard wood

I have a Thumb NT 5 from 2002 and I was wondering what sort of fretboard was on this? I'm fairly sure it's wenge but I want to double check!

Wenge. The only other wood used is ebony - and ebony looks nothing at all like wenge!

Wenge can vary in colour from dark brown to white.

Does anybody know how I can clean the fretboard so there are less of those black streaks?

The streaks are part of the wood.

I'm talking about the stuff in the pores. Presumably the pores themselves should be the same colour as the area surrounding them?

I think wenge just varies a lot in colour. It does have very long, wide pores.
