Hi all,
Im the proud owner of a 2003 or 2005 (cant remember right now) Thumb 5 BO. I've got a dead spot/ string on my low B fret 3, after trying to raise nut height, adjust intonation and ride height, ive still got the problem... Poor sustain and tone mainly. Before I get into the truss rod I tried getting new strings. I bought some ernie ball power 5 slinkys (135 gauge) and tried hooking them up, but cant get the bridge end to fit properly, the string wont fit in where the nut of the string goes. Is this an Ernie ball thing, or am I just misreading my specs for this bass? Anyone else having the same problem with these strings or the dead spot that could maybe help me out? Thanks!
