Things I'd like to change...

You can actually have a default theme, the one we have right now for example ;) and more colour schemes for users to select by preference...
I think there's no harm in doing that...

I am a member of a lot of forums. And from my experience I would like to make the following suggestion.

I think this forum can make a huge improvment very easily.

Reduce the number of forum boards on this site.

For the number of users we have, there are too many boards which makes it impossible to try and follow threads, or keep an eye on everything going on. By reducing the number of boards you will get more of a community going with regular posters, and you will get more people reading and responding to each thread.

This is a common problem on a lot of forums now IMO

I suggest the following...

1. Off Topic/Warwick Cafe
2. Warwick Basses
3. Warwick Amps
4. Warwick On Stage - Pics, gigs, vids etc
5. For Sale/Wanted (all items, one forum board with a feedback sticky thread at the top)
6. Tips and Tricks (all items in one forum board)

I don't think you need any more than that.

I'm new in this forum so I don't have good suggestions but I agree with Bassoctopus, in every case happy new year eveybody
 
Perhaps this is a good suggestion, but in the meantime there's the magic "Unread Posts" link in the top menu. ;)

I'm happy with the forum as it is, 'Unread Posts' seems to do the job for me

And, personally, i don't think we need to worry about having an 'ignore' option, we all get along fairly well here anyway, right?

I couldn't disagree more. The way it is now gives me a way better overview, and I don't have to scroll in ten minutes and go through ten pages of threads to find a thread.

Don't change anything I say, i love the way it is now, best forum ever! ;)
 
Just one thing here, when i download an attached music clip here on my mac
its downloaded as .mp3.html, don't know if im the only one that has this problem.
other than that no complaints :)
 
Yeah, I we'll try to fix that at the new version...

This happens to me too, I'm using XP and Opera.

That being said, you only have to delete the ".html" and you're done.

Yes there is. Just go to a user profile, click User List from the small menu and then click Add To Ignore LIst.

As for suggestions,I hope the friendly and sincere atmosphere will stay, no matter what you do to the forum :)
Other than that, I'd go with the less boards idea, because it is quite hard to follow the topics on the forum and I end up opening lots of tabs on my firefox browser, scrolling and reading.
Is there any way of creating some statistics account for you to see, which of the menus and drop downs people use most and which of them they don't? I can say that I use only about 30-40% this forum offers in terms of menus and stuff.

I like it pretty much the way it is, except for trying to read the chat history, as it scrolls down to the bottom every time it refreshes.

Other than that - for the grin smiley, I would like the code to be:

All other forums I post on use a capital D for the code of the grin smiley instead of a lowercase d - it's a bit frustrating - I never click on the smileys to insert them into my posts - I always type the code, and I'm forever making a mistake with the grin smiley.
