There are so many people like Corevette $$, Why ???

I am the Taiwan guy.

I don't have Corvette bass, I thought it is cheaper model before, but I found that many people own corvette even they already have Thumb/SSI/SSII, the $$ is so popular now, I have play it once in the store for short time, the output is amazing.

The Corvette seem not just a cheaper choice only, you guy really love them, what do you get from the Corvette bass? I own Thumb / SSI / SSII so I know the tone, but I don't know about Corvette.

The way I pickup a bass is playing it in the band, if I didn't heard my note, the bass will go, I owned Spector CR 4 and Tobias Basic 4 before, after the band gigging , I sell them!!

Yupp, the output of the Corvette $$ is amazing, especially running the PUs in parallel. You can tame it by running the PUs in series.

It's got a hell lot of other adjustments aswell. IMO too much sometimes. I run the PUs in parallel all the time, cuz' it burns :twisted: :twisted:
 
$$ is an awesome bass. I love mine to bits, the sound shaping you can do with it is amazing, jaco tone to hard hitting boomy rock tone in a few switch flicks and nob turns :D

i have mine pickup settings all over the place depending what i'm playing. Its a great bass to fit almost any situation. it makes a great ato have along side thumbs/SII's ect that although are awesome i find to be one trick ponies a thumb is a thumb and SII is a SII etc...the $$ fill the gap nicely.
 
I love my $$ though wish the NT version had been available when I ordered. It really wallops and has a fantastic warm tone.

in this Price Category you will have a hard time finding a bass with such a variety of sounds and such power behind it. You will be able to use it for any kind of music. The Corvette $$ whether it be BO or NT is not just a cheaper compromise for a person that likes a warwick, it is a bass with its own sound!

It's odd, for me I use to heavily dislike the Corvette as I was (Still am) always entranced by Thumbs, but I tried a $$Corvette and everything clicked, it didn't look as bad as I thought, sits comfortably and is fully adjustable and the tones are just off the hook.

After trying one I tracked down one for trade and which had been upgraded with Bartolini humbuckers so I didnt have to worry about the exposed magnet pole pieces coming into contact with the string and also the Bart's just make my $$ punch and growl just like a Thumb and I have the bass set up exactly for what I want to do and is the first bass out of 14 I've had that I've enjoyed playing loud.

But as said, for the price they are absolutley amazing and I would happily recommend one.
 
What's in a name ??

The Corvette (bass) is maybe like the Corvette (car). Definitely not as sophisticated and expensive as Ferrari and Lamborghini............But definitely is unique and loved by many for different reasons................... :wink:

True, but don't forget, the 'vette $$ can do a very good and usable imitation of a Ferrari or Lamborghini or pretty much anything else out there as well!
 
I think it's a fairly common misconception that because the Corvette line is less expensive than Thumbs or Streamers that they are of lesser quality. But think about it, the Streamer Jazzman is an FNA Jazzman with a contoured body; the Streamer LX is similar to the Corvette Proline, etc.

Certainly basses like the Thumb NT and Streamer Stage I and II are the flagships of Warwick. But I suspect many of us think we "have to have" a Stage II because Dirk Lance plays one, or whatever. I bought my first Thumb because of Ryan Martinie, etc.

Personally I love that the Corvette $$ (BO) is the 2nd least expensive Warwick, and the Corvette $$ NT is the 2nd least expensive neck-thru. Because after owning both Thumbs and Streamers, I liked them the best.
 
Corvettes are the best looking basses Warwick has in its lineup.

The Corvette St. has the deepest, yet still clear bottom I've heard yet. Even with Black labels. Those ash basses seem to have a lighter more airy bottom that lets the mids really come through. This is what I like about Warwicks, All of their basses a different tone, not just look. There is no bottom of the line.
 
i actually prefer the bubinga ones. mids are a lot stronger and makes it all the more punchier! i still regret picking the ash ver over the bubinga for a few hundred $ difference!
 
Since I changed my Amp I really LOVE my Corvette $$..

Now I have a EBS Fafner + NEO 2x12" + NEO 2x10" and pluggin the $$ into this amp KICKS..

Before this EBS i had a GK1001RB head thru a Ampeg 8x10" or sometimes thru 2 aguilar GS112 cabs.
But that rigg didn't make the $$ sound good at all.. It was muddy and very blury in the sound.

But with the EBS it reallt kicks. So try before you buy

Couldn't agree more, they just happen to be the cheapest which works out great...
 
I'm a total slut for humbuckers!

I had always wanted a MM Stingray, but then i saw the $$ and my jaw hit the floor, TWO meaty humbuckers!!!!!

The $$ is an awesome looking beast, and i've always liked the sound of Warwicks.

So i was rather happy when one came up on ebay for under £500!

My girlfriend called me to say it turned up this morning, it's sitting at home waiting for me to go home and try it out after work!

My Trace Elliot will thank me :-)

You are going to love it. Man, everybody is out of stock of the $$ BO (5 string). I will have my $$ within 2-4 wks (BO or NT ??? who knows) and I can't wait. :P

Still haven't decided? I think you're like me and prefer the Corvette body, but have you considered the Streamer $$? ~$600 more for a contoured body is a bit steep, but the maple neck would get you closer to the tone of the NT, which is ~$1,200 more. It's a thought anyway. :idea:
