Here I am, polishing my Corvette up to be sent to its new owner Soulfigter tomorrow after classes. I gave it one last plug and play and now it's getting one last loving with the Warwick Wax. It sounds glorious... I DO NOT want to sell it... But I must as I purchased my Jazzman on the premise that I would sell the vette to help fund it. And now that my bank account has dropped below $100 and with Christmas coming, I had to do it. So cheers to everyone for basses you know you'll regret selling. God Willing, I'll be able to get one just like it in the future.

Now for some alone time...

I hate that feeling...I've had it more than once.

...be sure to give it some good lovin' before it leaves for good (NBS of course! ).

:(

Yup - still wish I hadn't sold my old '97 Streamer Pro-M 4.

All packed up and ready to be shipped...

That feeling that you shouldn't have sold a bass is one that everyone should experience at some point. It concentrates the mind for the future and makes you think more clearly about buying and selling!
I regret selling my Iceni Zootbass... wish I'd kept it as my only fretted bass... what was I thinking?
The good news is... if I really want a fretted bass... I'll just have to save up and get a Thumb!

I don't think I've ever sold a bass that I haven't wanted to. I don't buy and sell much gear though.

I haven't missed the SS1 at all, but then I did get the Infinity the day before it left.

I don't think I could part with my Infinity or Thumb though - what could possibly replace them?!

Yeah I will be selling off a bunch of my gear soon too. Mostly guitar stuff but I'm thinking about getting rid of me LX 6. I'm thinking of getting a new rig to so I will be selling my Victor Wooten setup (SVT 4, BXT 4X10 and 1X15). PM me if anyone is interested before I post all this stuff on this internet thing.

what about that other guy that was looking for an LX6 in trade for a Tobias? not interested?

I sell and trade stuff all the time. It makes me sad when i have to sell or trade a nice axe but this alows me to try different brands and models of basses to see what sounds like what.

PD> When I trad eor sell stuff I usually give priority to Warwick forum members or friends if I have the chance since I know they will care for the axe  that's me.

+1 although i've only sold a few thigns here, And only 2 basses ever, booth went to good homes though which is good, 1 sold for my pjb combo and the other to get my streamer, although at first i was a bit sad, the new gear was enough to make up for it!

Aah yes!! I know the feeling well. I've sold many a wonderful bass in my day. And I regret selling all of them.

All except a "custom shop" Gibson G-3 I had (it had the body and neck of a G-3 and the pickup configuration of an EB-3). I bought it on eBay and the guy was selling it as a custom shop. When I got it, it was pretty obvious the "custom shop" job was done by someone who does not work for Gibson. Needless to say, I was happy to see that bass go.

I sold a classical guitar and a Lakland 4 string that I have missed a lot. Had to buy a tiny little clear rock on a round piece of metal for the girl I wanted to marry. Rest assured, the bass is going to a good home and will be well loved, taken care of, and played like crazy. I'll send you photos of the major milestones in her life. ;)

I don't like to sell to many bass's because I wanted them when I bought them, and I wait till I find someting at a good price.I don't mind selling impluse buys though, because I think what the hell did I buy this for and then get rid of it.But it must be hard to get rid of a bass you realy like but a leat it's going to a good home.

Well, it's shipped and in FexEd's hands. Then into Jeremy's hands!

GAS=Gear Acuisition Syndrome.
The endless desire to get more gear.
