Thanks to his clinics that are as enjoyable as they are informative, Warwick Product Specialist and Clinician Andy Irvine has become famous among the bassist scene world-wide. Naturally, his skills as a bass player are also responsible for his acclaim and success. Today, Andy can be heard on more than 50 CDs. Furthermore, he is now a member of the roster of bass professors at Bootsy Collins' "Funk University" and will also be joining us to teach during the Gitarre & Bass & Warwick Bass Camp 2013 from September 2nd to September 7th.
The main goal of the clinics taught by the seasoned musician is to pass on knowledge not only about the bass, but also about the skills that are essential for a professional bass player. Andy’s educational techniques are extremely varied and his clinics offer a multitude of playing examples, profound Q&A sessions, and opportunities for spontaneous jamming.
One of Andy’s main goals is teaching that the development of a unique and personal voice on your instrument is just as important as being able to play every style of music authentically. Another important part of Andy's clinics is the wide variety of instruments and amplifiers made by Warwick, ranging from the RockBass models to the one-of-a-kind German-made instruments, and from the compact BC combo amp line to the new 1000 watt amplifier LWA 1000.
In April, Andy and the Warwick "The Sound of Bass" Clinic Tour will be hitting Canada and visit Montreal, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia among other cities.
