How close to Lemmy can it sound?

I love his tone. No other bass distortion sounds any where near as nice.

I'm replacing my car and any left over funds I'm thinking of spending on a Tubepath. I'll keep my X-TREME as a spare, or vice versa. Either way I'll have a stonking great amp I know that.

Also how does the 2nd stage effect a clean tone? Does it distort it or add grit?

I'll be using my $$ in drop C with a 411ND.

Thanks in advance.

Hello mate!

I say the tubepath will come pretty close with the right settings. Maybe you'll need an extra overdrive (maybe...) but the basic sound is there.

The 2,nd stage makes the sound even more vintage- tubey. It doesn't add gritt, just a boost on mids and a slightly low cut. And of course, another character.

The distortion comes from boosting the gain till you see the orange LED lighting .

Thanks Florin.

I recently achieved something pretty close, but still not quite there.

I'll see if my dealer can get one in to try out.

Who is your closest warwick dealer?
